My Podcasts
Over the years, we’ve had a number of podcasts. We started with Too Long; Didn’t Read. This soon became Politics Unpacked. In both of these formats, we aimed to explain the news in an accessible way to people that may not follow day-to-day politics.
After these variations, we had a break before returning in 2022 with Truss Issues. As part of this, we tracked Liz Truss’s premiership. Each week, we looked into any major policies she announced, any major speeches, and any major gaffes. This was, by far, our most successful podcast with, at one point, getting into the top 5 political podcasts in the UK (as measured by Chartable).
Upon the downfall of Truss, the podcast morphed into The Big Rissue where we began tracking the Rishi Sunak premiership in a similar way. We continued this podcast for his first 100 days in office.
Right now, I am a panellist on The TLDR News Podcast. In this, we analyse the week’s news in the UK. Each panellist, additionally, brings one under-reported story at the beginning of each episode. We also move world leaders up and down a ‘world leader leaderboard’ at the end of each episode.
