My Videos
I started volunteering for TLDR News all the way back in 2018. At the time, the channel had only 1,000 subscribers and consisted of a single YouTube channel: TLDR News UK. I started by writing the ‘Explaining Brexit’ content. In these videos, we broke down Brexit jargon and tried to untangle and explain the increasingly complex process of leaving the EU.
Since then, the channel has exploded. We now have over 2 million subscribers and we produce videos for 6 separate YouTube channels.
Currently I oversee the UK, Daily Briefing and podcast channels.
Below is a brief description of each channel I work on and an example of a video I’ve written and hosted for each of these channels:
The Daily Briefing
This is our daily bulletin-style channel. We produce five of these videos per week Monday-Friday.
TLDR News UK
This is our original channel where we explain everything from UK elections to the housing crisis.
TLDR News EU
This was the second channel we created and is currently the most subscribed. The channel covers videos on everything from the war in Ukraine to explainer videos on the French overseas territories.
TLDR News Global
This is one of more recent channels. On it we explain everything from the Israel/Gaza conflict to US Presidential elections.
